To take advantage of the achievement made by the national key laboratory of biological treatment, the basic facilities for key science and technological transformation of biological treatment, the key platform for coordinated research of innovative medicines, and the pilot base of the application center of important and innovative medicines, in order to make breakthroughs in key stages and technologies; establish the R&D center for new and innovative medicines and key platforms for targeting testing, R&D of medicines and clinical applications.
Establish the national medicine R&D and service system, strengthen the innovative capability in biopharmaceutical medicine and small molecule medicines, revitalize the TCM industry, and promote the integrated development of the new technologies and industry of health and fitness. Build a complete industrial chain from research to clinical testing for a one-stop public service system, an innovative system backed up by talent leading, platform supporting and coordinated and sharing operation, in order to promote the overall self innovative capability and industrial level of China’s medicine industry and better satisfy people’s need for health care. Make Sichuan a leading province in China and a globally prestigious R&D center and production base of biopharmaceutical medicines integrated with the global R&D trends. Targets of the R&D include the optimization of new and innovative medicine R&D system, optimization of manufacturing of chemical and biopharmaceutical medicines, R&D of advanced and innovative preparations, application and testing of medicines, international clinical research on GCP and CDMO.
